Oh FFS!
Stop being deliberately obtuse.
You know full well how the Legislature, Executive and Judiciary works in the UK.

A vote to leave would mean an immediate autumn budget. Pensions at risk. Households 4K worse off. WW3.

The EU position on Brexit : WE DEMAND A FAIR PLAYING FIELD.

What a silly example the Mussolinni one is.

If parliament is sovereign, how come it has to answer to a higher power in the land?

Are you sure you are using the correct definition of 'sovereign' - 'possessing supreme or ultimate power'?

Paliament is Sovereign while it sits.
The fact that its make up changes once in a while is a quirk of our democratic system. It doesn't make a sitting parliament any less sovereign at the time because it is ephemeral just as Mussolini was still a dictator depite being overthrown.

'Parliament is soveriegn, you vote for an MPand they take decisions on our behalf.'

Can you see the inherent contradiction between the first and second clauses of that sentence.'

You can argue that the law is sovereign.

You can argue that Monarch in Parliament is sovereign.

You can argue the people are sovereign.

What you can't argue is that Parliament is sovereign. How can it be sovereign when it has to answer, every five years, by law, to the citizenry, by means of a general election? How can parliament therefore go against the will of the people as expressed in a referendum which itself declared as binding?

I think we found out how sovereign Parliament is this time last year.

DarloDebs, “ Mays deal.was barely different to Boris's”.

There was wording in there that would have tied us to the EU forever. We could have only left on their say so.
It was a worse deal than we had if that was possible, unless you wanted to stay forever of course.

NOTHING about leaving the EU was really complicated - deal or no deal.

Remainers though, didn't want and wouldn't accept either of those options; they wanted something not enough of the country wanted to happen. They still want it.

Really? Leaving the EU with a trade deal (it was oven ready apparently) was what was in the Conservative manifesto.

This is why you are clearly a political imbecile making political imbecile claims, Gague - it is impossible to deliver a "clean-break Brexit". It never has been and it never will.

Debs.

No,i am saying that the stance remainers took hindered rather than aided the whole process.

Clive.

People put Boris in office to deliver a clean break Brexit. Anything less will see his legacy and reputation in tatters and the damage to the Tories will be long lasting, its his call.

Re: Why The BBC All Over Cummings Leaving Story?
The "stance" of the Remain "lot" up to 2019 allowed the BGBC to use the likes of the Mail and the Sun to drum up support for BJ's pledge to get Brexit done.

I suppose you actually believe it is Remain's fault BJ is in government now.
